From Mrs. Casey...
Dear Cardinal O'Hara Family,
The Academic Honors Convocation will take place on Weds. May 1 at 7PM in the auditorium. This program honors our top 10% in each of the respective classes. It is also an opportunity to recognize our outgoing National Honor Society officers and the Mu Alpha Theta members.
Congratulations to Abigail Loyson for receiving a scholarship from the Association of Catholic Teachers Association for her tenth grade tuition.
Congratulations to Mr. Daniel DiBona for meriting tenure as a teacher in the Secondary School System.
AP testing will be taking place May 6 thru May 16th. All AP students must take the test . The cost of the test is $94 dollars per exam.
Students in Ms. Bauman’s class were challenged to write an article for ChemMatters, a magazine for high school students that focuses on the role of chemistry in everyday life. The subject of the article was to describe a recent breakthrough or innovation in chemistry (and/or its applications) that has improved the quality of people’s lives today. Several O'Hara students won in two different categories. Tatyana Lozada and Nicole DeOrzio won in the environment category. Mya McBurnie, Casandra Nguyen, and Amelia Teti won in the Medical-Health category. Certificates will be given to all students who participated and award checks will be given to the winners. Congratulations!
Mrs. Diane Casey
