Detention Process

Detention

A student must serve detention once they've accumulated 10 demerits. The detentions will be held Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 - 7:40 AM and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 - 3:10 PM. Failure to report to detention will result in the assignment of 5 demerits and an automatic Saturday/Alternative detention. Students are to report in full dress code for all detentions.

Dress Code Detentions

Dress code detentions will be held on Monday afternoon's from 2:30 - 3:10 PM. Students who receive 2 demerits for dress code violations will serve a dress code detention the following Monday. This detention is in addition to the standard detention procedures.

Saturday/Alternative Detentions

At 20 demerits, a student will serve a scheduled Saturday detention from 9 - 10:30 AM or an alternative after-school detention from 2:30 - 4 PM.  Students will be assessed a $10.00 fee for each detention. 

For all detentions, the students will be required to surrender their electronic devices upon arrival, and they will be returned upon dismissal from the detention.
