Absences and Latenesses
A parent/guardian must report their student's absence on this Google Form before 9 AM the day of your student’s absence. Please provide the parent's email, student’s name, student number, date of absence, and reason.

Failure to report an absence will be regarded as Truancy.
Absence Card
An absence card or a 3x5” index card is due in the STUDENT SERVICES OFFICE the day you return. Failure to do so will result in demerits. One demerit will be given for each day the card is late. Any day school is in session and you are absent, an absence card is required regardless of the reason. If a student is absent for three or more days, a note from a doctor is required. Even if you have a doctor’s note, an absence note signed by a parent/guardian is still required. (Please attach the absence note to the doctor’s note.)
Late Arrival
Students will enter through the East Entrance doors until 8:30 AM and will sign in at the East Entrance Landing. If arriving after 8:30 AM, please go to the MAIN OFFICE. If late due to an appointment, please provide your doctor’s note to receive a pass for class and to be removed from the absentee list. Late to school without a doctor’s note will result in demerits.
Please note: Twelve unexcused lates will equal one absence.
Early Dismissal
A HANDWRITTEN note with a valid signature must be submitted to the ATTENDANCE OFFICE (located in Student Services) before homeroom for all early dismissals. The note should include: WHO IS PICKING UP THE STUDENT. IF THE STUDENT IS DRIVING, YOUR PERMISSION FOR THEM TO DRIVE THEMSELVES MUST BE WRITTEN IN THE LETTER. Repeated failure to follow early dismissal procedures will result in demerits.
Proms/Dances
If you are absent or late to school on the day of a prom or class dance, you will NOT be permitted to attend the prom or dance. No permission will be granted for early dismissals or late arrivals on those days, so plan your appointments carefully.
**Please note, that students must be present for four (4) class periods, excluding lunch, or it will be considered a day of absence.
