Cardinal O'Hara Summer Camp is a great way to prepare for high school. We offer Math and English enrichment classes along with a variety of fun, engaging activities!
The 5th and 6th grade camp is for students entering 5th or 6th grade in the 2017-18 school year. Students will get a chance to participate in all of the activities listed below. Students may register for as many of the six weeks of camp as they would like.
Students entering 7th, 8th and 9th grade will take Math and English enrichment and will be able to choose two of the activities listed below. Students may register for as many of the six weeks of camp as they would like. Students who register for more than two weeks have the option to replace Math and English with two additional extracurricular activities starting with their third week of camp.
Math and English Enrichment:
7th and 8th Grade English Enrichment: The focus of this course is on high school entrance exam English skills. Students will strengthen and fine tune the English language skills that are tested by local high school entrance exams.

Pre-9th Grade English Enrichment: The focus of this course is to strengthen the English skills that students will need to be successful high school freshmen.

Computer and Technology: Students will explore various areas of technology. Students will learn about computer repair and programing.
Chorus/Vocal Music: The choir brings the message of St. Augustine to life, “One who sings, prays twice”. The choir is one of the highlights of our liturgies at Cardinal O’Hara. Learn our favorite mass songs and much more!
Instrumental Music: Enhance your musical skill or learn to play a new instrument at Cardinal O’Hara. Students will learn the basics of reading and playing music in a group setting. Open to all. No experience necessary.
Robotics: At this activity students will learn how to design, build and program robots. This activity gives students a chance to apply math and science skills to real world situations.
Science: Not your everyday Science class. We will explore the basic principles of Physics, Chemistry and Biology through a series of engaging, hands on activities.
Spanish: Explore Spanish language and culture through authentic language experiences. Students will learn modern conversational Spanish by exploring the culture, art and music of Spanish speaking countries.
Teambuilding and Leadership: Prepare to make the most of your time at Cardinal O’Hara by participating in fun, high energy, activities that promote team work and leadership.
TV/Film: In this activity students will learn the basics of TV and film production and get hands on experience in our WCOH studios.
NOTE: Courses will run only if registration minimums are met. Class minimums are 6 students. Class maximums are 18 students.

11:10 - 12:10 Lunch (Students are expected to bring their own lunch. *Note we are a peanut free building.)
12:15 - 1:15 Block 3
1:20 - 2:20 Block 4
2:25 Afternoon Assembly
2:45 - 3:30 Regular Dismissal Begins
*Students who cannot get picked up before 3:30 will be charged an extra $10.00 per day for extended day care.
5th and 6th grade students will follow a daily schedule that allows them to participate in all extracurricular activities.
7th, 8th, and pre-9th students will have 1 block of English, 1 block of Math and two blocks for the extracurricular activities of their choosing.
Cost: $240.00 per week
$10.00 per day of Extended Day (Optional)
*Note all fees are non-refundable. If a student misses a day for any reason no refund can be issued.
