Souper Bowl of Caring

CSC members are asked to donate a can of hearty soup to help tackle

hunger in America. The soup is donated to Nutritional Development

Services of the Archdiocese and the St. Katharine Drexel Food Pantry.

Program ends the day after the Super Bowl.

CSC, in conjunction with the Office of Black Catholics, participates in a day-long day of service. Varies each year.

Seating and parking for wheelchairs reserved behind the benches for our guests.

Empty Bowls Program Wednesdays during Lent (Lunch Periods)

Students donate their lunch money for one day to raise money to feed the homeless, and then enjoy a “special lunch” in the CSC Office on one of the scheduled dates. The lunch consists of

soup, granola bar, roll, and water.

St. Patrick’s Day Party at Divine Providence Village 11:00-1:00

CSC hosts a festive party for the members of the Don Guanella and

Divine Providence communities. A DJ provides music, and an Irish dance troupe performs.

Easter Boxes for Children

CSC members donate Easter treats to fill Easter Boxes for children. Boxes are donated to City Team Ministries.

African Library Project

CSC participates in the African Library Project. This book drive supports a primary/middle school library in a designated African country.  The goal is 1000 “gently used” children’s books.

Tournament continues every Wednesday in May.

Bottled Water Drive

CSC members donate $1.00 to purchase cases of water to be donated to local shelters to stock shelves for the hot summer months.

St. John’s Hospice Casserole Program sponsored by CSC

Cardinal O’Hara families cook and freeze a casserole to feed the homeless who eat their evening meal at the hospice in Center City.
