Do you or your company pay Pennsylvania state taxes? Why not donate them to Cardinal O’Hara High School? Both businesses and individuals can redirect their PA state tax dollars through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. The application process is easy and we can work hand-in-hand with you to complete it. At Cardinal O’Hara, 100% of your donation through EITC and OSTC is used for scholarships for students and tuition assistance for our families to afford a Catholic education.

Now more than ever, Cardinal O'Hara students need your support! In today's economy, gifts to support tuition assistance are vital as these donations allow countless young men and women to receive an O'Hara education. And the O'Hara experience is equal to no other--providing a comprehensive education rooted in our Catholic faith and preparing our students for a strong future. O'Hara means so much to so many (alumni, parents, community members and friends.)

Please consider making a gift to the Faith in the Future campaign for tuition assistance. A generous donor has gifted $250,000 to the Tuition Assistance Campaign designated for the high schools and you can double your donation to O'Hara as your gift will be matched, dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000 per gift! Thank you for supporting our students!

Cardinal O'Hara Day of Giving Thanks

Since 2015, we have celebrated O'Hara with an annual "Day of Giving" in the spring. This year we celebrate a "Day of Giving Thanks" on May 13th. This day will honor the men and women who have worked tirelessly to take care of others during this unprecedented time--the medical professionals, public safety workers, township employees, restaurant and grocery staffs, postal workers, delivery drivers and countless others who have made a difference.

We want to celebrate everyone during that 24 hour period, specifically members of our extended O'Hara lion family. Mark your calendar for May 13, 2020 and look for details about how you can help us honor these men and women!

Support Cardinal O'Hara

Do you or your company pay Pennsylvania state taxes? Why not donate them to Cardinal O’Hara High School? Both businesses and individuals can redirect their PA state tax dollars through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. The application process is easy and we can work hand-in-hand with you to complete it. At Cardinal O’Hara, 100% of your donation through EITC and OSTC is used for scholarships for students and tuition assistance for our families to afford a Catholic education.

Individuals
Individuals can redirect up to 100% of their personal Pennsylvania state income tax bill to O’Hara. Donors will receive a tax credit for 90% of the EITC or OSTC contribution, which reduces their state income taxes dollar-for-dollar. Further, many individuals will also be able to claim a charitable deduction on their federal tax return for the 10% not included in the tax credit.

Corporations
Corporations are also eligible to receive a 90% Pennsylvania tax credit if they are authorized to do business in Pennsylvania and are subject to one or more of the following taxes:
·       Corporate Net Income Tax
·      Insurance Premium Tax (excluding surplus lines, unauthorized, domestic/foreign marine)
·       Title Insurance & Trust Company Shares Tax
·       Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax
·       Capital Stock and Franchise Tax
·       Mutual Thrift Tax
·       Malt Beverage Tax
·       Retaliatory Fees under section 212 of the Insurance Company Law of 1921
·       Personal Income Tax of corporation shareholders or Partnership partners
