We need a little Christmas, right this very minute...
After this week, everyone would agree no one needs a break more than the families and staff of COHS! We are so very grateful to the wonderful Marple PD and all the surrounding departments for keeping us safe on Monday. As Principal, I am truly blessed that our administration, staff, and faculty provided the necessary comfort and reassurance to our student body. We received several compliments in regards to how our students handled themselves, especially their kindness to the OLA kids. How lucky we are to have such empathetic and generous students!
As an administration, we will meet again with local law enforcement to discuss all the ways we can streamline our processes. Although this situation went relatively smoothly, we know we can always improve. Our goal remains, as always, the safety of the students. We will continue to try to share information as quickly as is advisable. If you did not receive any notifications, please contact Mr. Jeffrey Braconnier for instructions to add yourself to our communication system. We ask that families refrain from sharing critical information, such as the location of students, on social media, as this compromises their safety. Thank you again for your patience during this very stressful time!
Mother Teresa said, "If we have no peace, it will be because we have forgotten that we belong to each other." Never more than this week has the spirit of community been alive at O'Hara. May this spirit continue throughout the Christmas Season and beyond.
We wish all our Lion families a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2018.
