Congratulations NHS!
Congratulations to our National Honor Society officers and members. The NHS Installation took place last Tuesday in the auditorium. Thank you to Sister Lucy for all of her efforts in moderating the National Honor Society.
COHS Springfield Lions Awarded
This morning at Springfield High School five of our students were presented with the Springfield Volunteer Memorial Fund Exemplary Service Award. Students honored are Springfield residents who have performed outstanding service in their school and community. The students in the group picture are (from L to R): Jack McCarry, Julianna Kissinger, Christina Gioia, Julia Randazzo and Martin Meenan. Guest commentator was Dan Cuellar, a Springfield resident and 6ABC reporter for 30 years.

Winter Uniform Begins 11/5
The Office for Student Services carries gently used sweaters for purchase for $10. It might be helpful to purchase an extra sweater to keep in your locker. All other items can be purchased at Flynn and O'Hara.
Please note that the winter uniform can always be worn; however, as of November 5 it will be mandatory.
-PowerSchool Notice for Parents-
There are currently 311 parents that have still not accessed PowerSchool. Please take the necessary steps as soon as possible. For questions, contact the academic affairs office by clicking here.

Don't miss the Band Craft Fair! Be sure to stop by on Saturday, November 17th from  10-4 and on Sunday, November 18th from 10-3.
Several of our vocal students are auditioning for All Catholic Chorus on Wednesday, October 24th! Good luck to our singing Lions!
Guidance Office
Accounts that are more than 90 days delinquent must be brought current. Otherwise, per Diocesan policy, students will be withdrawn at the end of the first quarter until the account is brought up to date. Please log into your FACTS account and check your balances. 
No college transcripts may be sent by the Guidance Office unless the FACTS account is completely up to date. Please check your FACTS balances in order to avoid delays with college applications.
Financial aid applications are now open in FACTS for the 2019-2020 school year. The online financial aid application can be accessed here: https://online.factsmgt.com/aid.
You are encouraged to complete the application by December 31, 2018, for first priority.  The first round of financial aid awards will be made by February 1, 2019.  You can sign into your current FACTS account to access the application for the 2019-2020 school year.
Save the Date- November 14th at 7:00pm
Cardinal O'Hara High School in conjunction with the Marple Township Police Department will be hosting a Parent Forum in an effort to increase awareness about vaping/juuling as well as other issues such as social media and cyber bullying. To submit topics you would like discussed at this important meeting, email communications@cohs.com.
