Cardinal O'Hara Theatre - The Creative Team Eddie Allen - Director A 1977 graduate of O'Hara and Theatre alum, Mr. Allen will mark his 22nd production as director with Les Miserables School Edition. He has served on the creative team for 27 shows. Along with his wife Denise, he began the "2-shows-a-year" plan in 1994. He began his association with the production staff in 1982 when he became vocal director of the Theatre program. Allen also moderates the Stage Crew helping to create the elaborate sets that for which O'Hara is known. He firmly believes that "If we can dream it, then we can do it". Denise Allen - Assistant Director/Choreographer Denise is a 1984 graduate of O'Hara and Theatre alum. Jesus Christ Superstar marks her 18th show as a production staff member. Denise studied with The Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, and has perfected her craft on the O'Hara stage as an innovative and visionary choreographer. She received national recognition for her innovative choreography for Jekyll & Hyde, which did not feature dancing in the original Broadway production. When you see an O'Hara show and wonder who got all those people, (including the guys) to dance like pros, the answer is Denise Allen! Susan Adelizzi - Scenic Designer A truly creative and inventive scenic artist and designer, this 1988 O'Hara grad and Theatre alum has designed 18 shows for our school. Susan has the ability of casting a new spin on any show. Filling the extremely wide, but not so deep O'Hara stage with scenery that works, and looks great. Sal Scinto - Vocal Director The youngest member of the team, Sal is a 1996 graduate of O'Hara and theatre alum. As a student, Sal played many roles but is probably best known for his role of Jesus in our 1995 production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Sal was invited to join the staff soon after graduating O'Hara. He has vast musical ability and a keen sense for vocal arranging. When you hear those big vocal numbers with those strong harmonies, it's Sal Scinto who made it happen. Sal is also O'Hara's Band Director. Matt Hamlett ­ Orchestra Conductor Matt began his tenure on the O'Hara Creative Team in 1986. He remained through Annie in 2000. Matt returned to the team this year for Jekyll. Mr. Hamlett is a vital part of the team, assisting in the entire creative process. Welcome back, Matt! Rich Matkevich - Construction Supervisor Rich has an unparalleled imagination. He is always ready to imagineer a new idea for that hard to do set or effect. He is the man behind much of the O'Hara Magic. Fran Carreras - Box Office The ever-friendly voice on the Activities office phone, Fran handles the ticket sales for all of our shows.
