"How to" videos
Below are links to short videos that will teach you both important skills and how to do everyday things on the computer to help you with schoolwork and projects.
You will need Quicktime installed in order to watch the videos. Quicktime can be downloaded for free here: apple.com/quicktime. If you use iTunes, it is already installed for you.
The videos will play directly in Firefox and Safari, or if you use Internet Explorer, right click on the video, go to "Save Link As", and download the video.

Questia School
Questia School is a huge online library offering more than 15, 000 books and nearly 1 million journal, magazine and newspaper articles.
It offers each student their own personal workspace that you can customize to set reading preferences, create project folders, and to shelve favorite materials. Also included, is a helpful guide to writing effective research papers!
Digital research tools that allow you to generate automatic citations, quotes, and bibliographies; highlight text in different colors; take notes in the margins of books; and bookmark pages.
Each student has their own, personal login. The user name is your last name and student number (all lowercase and no spaces) and the password is the opposite, student number and last name. Access PA POWER Library From Home
You can now use selected research databases from home, with a library card from any Deleware County Library System member library. These databases contain over 2,000 full text magazines and journals. Coverage includes general reference, health, business, literature, and many other subjects. Check the DCLS web page for more information:www.delcolibraries.org

The library at Cardinal O'Hara High School is a center of
learning created as a place where students can fulfill a variety of academic goals. The
library program, in keeping with the mission statement for the school, is focused on the
preperation of O'Hara students for the rigors of the academic and technological world.
Students are welcome to use the library for conducting research, reading, studying, checking
out books, tutoring, and working on computer projects. |
