The Campaign for Cardinal O'Hara High School
To ensure that new generations of students have the
opportunity to experience the quality education that has been provided for nearly 40 years, Cardinal O'Hara High
School proudly announces the first capital campaign in the school's history. This effort will raise $4 million
for three critical areas that answer today's challenges.
We will address immediate and long-term needs in the areas of academics, athletics and activities. This will
include the refurbishing and upgrading of all classrooms and labs, the establishment of a tuition assistance
fund, the construction of a new multi-purpose athletic stadium and the replacement of the seating in the
auditorium and gymnasium.
Summary of Key Components
Academics $1,140,000
To attract more students to Cardinal O'Hara High School, our campus facilities and programs must be as welcoming
as our staff and administration. We have targeted areas that need immediate attention:
- Refurbish and upgrade all seventy-five classrooms
- Refurbish and upgrade all our science, laboratories and technology labs
- Refurbish and replace all hardwood doors stairwells, and fire tower interior doors
- Establish a tuition assistance fund
Athletics $2,300,000
The enhancement of our current athletic facilities will offer the O'Hara community a state-of-the-art complex
that will serve the students of today and assist in the future recruitment efforts of tomorrow. This new complex
will consist of the following features:
- New practice field with a multi-purpose all-weather athletic field surface
- Refurbished and expanded track with 8 lanes
- Bleachers for 1,500 spectators
- Weight room and locker room facilities
- Concession stand, ticket booth, and public restroom facility
- Multi-purpose score board, lighting, and necessary fencing and walkways
Activities $560,000
With over twenty five different activities to choose from, it is imperative that Cardinal O'Hara High
continues to upgrade our facilities to better serve our students and community family.
