Cardinal O'Hara High School has a long tradition of academic excellence. Course offerings represent primarily a college preparatory curriculum. Extensive Advanced Placement offerings provide an opportunity for students to gain college credit. Students are challenged to work to the best of their abilities with the support and encouragement of a caring faculty and staff.
The typical school day begins with homeroom followed by eight 42 minute class periods. The course selection process involves students, parents, teachers and counselors. The school strives to work cooperatively with families in helping students to assume their individual responsibilities and reach their full potential.
As a Catholic school, Cardinal O'Hara challenges its students not only academically but also spiritually and socially. The spiritual formation of the adolescent in a Catholic high school involves the instructional dimension as well as the experimental.

The many opportunities for students to provide service
through the various school service organizations is also
considered an important aspect of their spiritual development
as Catholic Christians. |
