631 Accounting                   6 ppc  1.00 cr   Tr. 1 Gr. 11 & 12

 

This accelerated course will provide students with the opportunity to learn the role of accounting in today’s business environment, and realize the value of the proper accounting practices and ethics. In addition, the course will prepare them for an introductory accounting class in college.  Instruction will focus on the accounting cycle for both a sole proprietorship and a partnership culminating with the students keeping a set of books for a complete accounting period.

Quarter Grades

 

Test         = 50%

Quiz         = 30%

Worksheets   = 20%

 

Final Grade

 

1st Semester Grade   =  45%

2nd Semester Grade   =  45%

Final Exam           =  10%

 

 

 

 

Class Expectations

 

1.) All work that is graded is the responsibility of the student to hand in.

2.) A student who is absent is responsible to hand in any missing work within 2 days of their    

    return to class.

3.) a Student may turn in work late, but it will effect the grade.

 

Classroom Needs

 

1.) Text Book - Provided in class.

2.) Workbook  - Brought to class everyday-(unless instrucred by teacher not to bring it.)

3.) Folder    - To hold returned worksheets, graded quizzes, study guides, etc.

4.) Pencil    - Neatness is important, scribbled out work will effect a students grade.
